Mezcal

Mezcal is a traditional Mexican spirit made from the agave plant, known for its distinctive smoky character and rich cultural heritage. Unlike tequila, which is typically made from blue agave, mezcal can be produced from a variety of agave species, each contributing unique flavours. The heart of the agave is roasted in underground pits, giving mezcal its signature smokiness, before being crushed, fermented, and distilled. The result is a complex spirit with notes ranging from earthy and herbal to sweet and citrusy, often enjoyed neat to appreciate its depth and craftsmanship.
