HR Cigars

HR Cigars is the premium cigar brand created by Hirochi Robaina, grandson of the legendary Alejandro Robaina, one of the most respected tobacco growers in Cuban history. The Robaina family’s connection to tobacco stretches back to 1845 in Cuba’s famous Vuelta Abajo region, where generations of the family built a reputation for producing exceptional tobacco used in some of Cuba’s most prestigious cigars. Today, Hirochi continues that legacy while bringing his own vision to the modern premium cigar world.

After leaving Cuba, Hirochi expanded beyond the family’s traditional roots and began developing premium cigars in Nicaragua. HR Cigars are now produced at the La Corona Cigars S.A. factory in Estelí, Nicaragua under the guidance of master cigar maker Omar González, a highly experienced figure with decades in the tobacco industry. The factory combines Cuban cigar-making traditions with carefully selected Nicaraguan tobaccos grown from Cuban seed, alongside Ecuadorian wrappers, creating blends that honour the Robaina heritage while embracing Nicaragua’s world-class tobacco production.

Hirochi Robaina is widely regarded as one of the most recognisable figures in modern premium cigars. Having learned directly from his grandfather Alejandro, he inherited generations of tobacco knowledge and became the face of the famous Robaina family legacy.
